The Grad Gift Idea that’s Tastemaker Approved

22 Mar

Grad season is approaching quickly! Kids graduating from high school and college getting ready for the next stage in their lives.  What kind of gift can you give the graduate?  We absolutely love the gift our Tastemaker Elizabeth Mayhew gives.

“I always give personalized note cards as a graduation gift and usually I choose it in the graduate’s school colors. Personalized stationery is a good staple for grads to have as they head into the adult world, not only to write thank you notes to all of their past professors, but also to write thank you notes to all of their future employers!”

A box of personalized stationery is truly a wonderful gift idea.  I would even add a booklet of stamps to encourage more handwritten letters!

Congrats to the Grads of 2018!

2018 Pantone Color of the Year: Ultra Violet

19 Feb

If you haven’t already heard, the Pantone color of the year is Ultra Violet.  “Complex and contemplative, Ultra Violet suggests the mysteries of the cosmos, the intrigue of what lies ahead, and the discoveries beyond where we are now. The vast and limitless night sky is symbolic of what is possible and continues to inspire the desire to pursue a world beyond our own,” according to Pantone.com.

We are inspired by this dynamic shade of purple and created a Ultra Violet inspiration board to explore all the possibilities of how to incorporate it into your life.  Enjoy!

Our picks:  Purple Thank You Banner Note Cards, Hot Water Bottle Cover, Woman in boots, Purple hair, Purple popsicles, Purple Peonies Photo Birth Announcements, Living room, Purple Surprise Party Confetti Dot Invitations, Lupita Nyong’o, Wedding dress, Design Your Own Personalized Amethyst Tervis Tumblers, Bumble Bee Self Inking Stamper, Birthday Confetti Hanging Gift Tags, Purple Woodcut Foldover Note Cards.

My Favorite Christmas Cookie Recipe

19 Dec

It’s that time of year for holiday baking!  Every year I am asked by friends and family to make my white chocolate cranberry cookies. I originally got this recipe from Kraft, but I modified it a bit.  I thought I would share my recipe if you’re looking for something new to try.  The nice thing about these cookies is that they freeze well, so you can always make a batch and freeze them until you are ready to gift them or serve them.  Enjoy!

Jennifer’s White Chocolate Cranberry Cookies

    • Heat oven to 350°F. Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Add flour; mix well. Stir in chocolate and cranberries.
    • Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
    • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough, 2 inches apart, onto baking sheets; flatten slightly.
    • Bake 10 to 14 min. or until lightly browned. Cool 5 min. on baking sheets. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
