Summer Fun Returns

Summer Entertaining

Summer fun is back!  To think that last year we were in quarantine and our plans were put on hold.  A year later and we are ready to make plans again from vacations to get-togethers to impromptu patio parties.  We have some great ideas and recipes sure to inspire some party ideas.

Cocktails on the Patio

Spend a beautiful summer evening on the patio with a few close friends.  You can serve cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while you chat under the stars (we found some great hors d’oeuvres recipes to get you started).  Set the tone with string lights, candles and music.  You can serve beverages in shatterproof drinkware to keep entertaining stress-free (here are some great cocktail recipes to try). For personalized napkins, cups, plates, trays, cutting boards and more, shop our Summer Entertaining Supplies boutique.

Ice Cream Social

There’s nothing like a good old-fashioned ice cream social. You can easily put one together for young and old alike.  This would be a great way to have a fun Sunday {or SUNDAE!} afternoon with neighbors and get reacquainted.  So easy to have either in your garage, on your patio or even your front driveway.  Have guests come and make their own sundaes to enjoy on a hot summer day.  Serve in personalized party cups that really set the tone.  Make sure to include all the toppings like nuts, candies, cherries, whipped cream and sprinkles.

Fourth of July

Nothing screams SUMMER like the Fourth of July.  A time to celebrate our independence and enjoy time with family and friends.  You can plan a fun dinner and the entertainment is already set if you plan to watch the fireworks.  Plan a whole theme of red, white and blue from outfits to food to drinks.  You can also plan to see a local parade if your town is having one this year.

Boat Party

Whether you own a boat or rent a boat, invite friends aboard for a day of summer fun.  You can keep it casual with lighter fare and portable drinks while you enjoy a day on the water.  You can bring sandwiches from your favorite deli and a cooler for your drinks.  You can always find an island or marina to enjoy an offshore picnic or visit a restaurant as well.  Just don’t forget to pack sunscreen!  Use a personalized tote to keep all your boating gear in (which also comes in handy for farmers markets and pool/beach days!).

I hope you enjoy the summer weather and get an opportunity to see friends and family!
