{"id":3744,"date":"2014-12-08T19:23:47","date_gmt":"2014-12-09T01:23:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.thestationerystudio.com\/?p=3744"},"modified":"2014-12-08T19:23:47","modified_gmt":"2014-12-09T01:23:47","slug":"holiday-peppermint-bark-recipe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thestationerystudio.com\/blog\/holiday-peppermint-bark-recipe\/","title":{"rendered":"Holiday Peppermint Bark (Recipe!)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We were recently asked if we&#8217;d like to be a part of a homemade holiday gifts segment for WGN-TV.\u00a0 <a title=\"Carol Mackey\" href=\"http:\/\/www.carolmackey.net\">Carol Mackey<\/a> showed viewers her homemade peppermint bark in our <a title=\"Personalized Gift Boxes\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thestationerystudio.com\/index.cfm\/fuseaction\/catalog.viewproduct\/productid\/11211\/catid\/0\/bake-your-own-cookies-personalized-gift-boxes.html\">personalized gift boxes<\/a> &#8230; the perfect gift for friends and family!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.thestationerystudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-3746\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.thestationerystudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/1.jpg\" alt=\"1\" width=\"395\" height=\"425\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.thestationerystudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/1.jpg 480w, https:\/\/blog.thestationerystudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/1-278x300.jpg 278w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 395px) 100vw, 395px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Carol was nice enough to share her recipe so we could share it with you.\u00a0 Just in time for the holidays &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Peppermint Bark<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Ingredients:<\/span><br \/>\n1 lb chopped bittersweet chocolate<br \/>\npeppermint extract<br \/>\n1 lb chopped white chocolate<br \/>\ncrushed peppermint<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Directions:<\/span><br \/>\nLine a 11\u00d717 baking sheet with parchment paper or waxed paper. Melt bittersweet chocolate over a double boiler, stirring constantly. Stir in four drops peppermint oil or more to taste. Spread chocolate evenly onto the prepared cookie sheet. Chill until just set, about \u00bd hour. Melt white chocolate over double boiler, stirring constantly, if white chocolate seizes add a little canola oil. Quickly spread white chocolate mixture over chilled dark chocolate, spreading to the edge of the pan, sprinkle with peppermint. Chill until set.
