{"id":3555,"date":"2014-09-29T13:59:35","date_gmt":"2014-09-29T18:59:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.thestationerystudio.com\/?p=3555"},"modified":"2014-09-29T14:33:00","modified_gmt":"2014-09-29T19:33:00","slug":"diy-pumpkin-spice-latte-nationalcoffeeday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thestationerystudio.com\/blog\/diy-pumpkin-spice-latte-nationalcoffeeday\/","title":{"rendered":"DIY Pumpkin Spice Latte #nationalcoffeeday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Did you know today is National Coffee Day?\u00a0 When I logged onto <a title=\"Twitter\" href=\"http:\/\/www.twitter.com\/studionotes\">twitter<\/a> this morning, I was deluged with images of coffee and the hashtag #nationalcoffeeday.\u00a0 Seeing that it&#8217;s Fall and I can&#8217;t get enough <a title=\"Pumpkin Spice Latte\" href=\"http:\/\/allrecipes.com\/recipe\/quick-pumpkin-spice-latte\/\">pumpkin spice lattes<\/a>, I wanted to share a recipe I make at home.\u00a0 I usually whip up a few to share with friends since it&#8217;s so good!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.thestationerystudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/pumpkinlatte.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-3562\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.thestationerystudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/pumpkinlatte.jpg\" alt=\"pumpkinlatte\" width=\"311\" height=\"390\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.thestationerystudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/pumpkinlatte.jpg 360w, https:\/\/blog.thestationerystudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/pumpkinlatte-239x300.jpg 239w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 311px) 100vw, 311px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This recipe was taken from <a title=\"Pumpkin Spice Latte\" href=\"http:\/\/allrecipes.com\/recipe\/quick-pumpkin-spice-latte\/\">AllRecipes.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Quick Pumpkin Spice Latte<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Original recipe makes 1 serving<\/em><br \/>\n1 cup milk, divided<br \/>\n1 tablespoon white sugar, or more to taste<br \/>\n1 tablespoon pumpkin puree<br \/>\n1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon vanilla extract<br \/>\n1\/4 cup brewed espresso (I use coffee)<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Directions<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Whisk 1\/2 cup milk, sugar, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract in a small saucepan over low heat. Simmer for 5 minutes. Whisk in remaining 1\/2 cup milk.<br \/>\nPour milk mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove pulp. Return milk mixture to saucepan and simmer, whisking, 2 minutes.
