Emojis are Everywhere

23 Jul

Emoji GIfts at The Stationery StudioEmojis are literally popping up everywhere.  They’re not just on your phones anymore!   Just visit any shopping mall and you can find emojis on pillows and other merchandise.   Last year, at least 250 brands created their own emoji keyboards. Sony is putting out an emoji movie soon, Pepsi is using emojis on soda labels, Luvs uses emojis on the diapers, Taco Bell and Burger King introduced an emoji keyboard, and Chevrolet wrote a press release in emojis.

I admit emojis are all pretty cute.  And everyone seem to love them.  Now you can enjoy your own adorable personalized emojis which will make them even more special!

We can put your name on emoji notepads, post-it cubes, stationery, thank you cards, invitations, playing cards, plates, cups and napkins.   They really put a smile on everyone’s face.  Not only are they super popular, but they are very adorable.

Enjoy your own personalized emoji items or consider gifting a set of adorable note cards or playing cards for a friend’s birthday!  Do you love using emojis?  What are some of your favorites?   The kiss, the tongue sticking out, sunglasses emoji, happy face emoji, the poop emoji, the crying with joy emoji?

Let me know which ones you love the best!

Have fun,

Renee

Once cooled, level cupcakes with a knife so the tops are flat.  Spread a thin layer of frosting on the cupcakes.  Roll out the fondant according to directions.  Once rolled out, use a small cup or circle cookie cutter that is the size of the cupcake.  Make as many circles as needed as there are cupcakes.  Using the foodwriter markers, decorate each circle with Emoji faces.  Use Emoji images from your smartphone for inspiration.  Once decorated, lay the fondant on top of the cupcake and gently press the edges onto the cupcake.  Store in a plastic container once finished.  Serve within 2 days or the colors may bleed and the fondant can get hard.

Emoji cupcakes are a big hit from little kids to big kids!  Just add some personalized emoji products from The Stationery Studio and your Emoji party will be a big success! And don’t forget to enter our Emoji Party Sweepstakes for a chance to win a personalized emoji party package worth up to $350 from The Stationery Studio and Wilton!  Hurry … you need to enter by June 29, 2016.  Winners will be announced Friday, July 1, 2016.

Keeping with all things Emoji, we decided to take a stab at making homemade cocoa meringue Emoji cookies for our emoji birthday party.  These were a HUGE hit!  Kids and teens love these cookies (yes … they DO taste good).  They are a major conversation piece and a fun addition to Emoji cupcakes.  Our next blog post will be on how to decorate Emoji cupcakes for an Emoji birthday party.

(How cute are these personalized emoji products?)

Emoji Cocoa Meringue Recipe

Ingredients:
3 egg whites, at room temperature
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
3/4 cup granulated, superfine sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 tablespoons unsweetened Dutch process cocoa, sifted
Brown food coloring

Directions:
Preheat oven to 200 degrees F. In a large bowl with an electric mixer beat the egg whites until frothy. Add the cream of tartar and granulated sugar 1 tablespoon at a time. Beat until the egg whites are stiff and shiny and the sugar granules cannot be felt in the whites. Beat in the vanilla, reduce speed to low and add cocoa and brown food coloring until combined. With a spatula put the egg white mixture into a pastry bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe 2-inch meringue “kisses” on a parchment paper lined baking sheet, at least 2 inches apart. Bake in the middle of oven for 2 hours. Turn off oven and leave the meringues in it for at least 2 more hours or until meringues are completely dry.
