New Puppy?

13 Sep

Do you (or someone you know) have a new puppy?  There’s nothing like a new puppy to add excitement to your life.  They’re so cute and full of energy!  Renee at The Stationery Studio just brought home this sweet puppy, Libby.  She’s a silver Lab and she’s adorable!  So what kind of gift do you give someone who gets a new puppy?  I made sweet Libby some homemade dog biscuits and put them in a reusable container.  I wanted to share the recipe with you … you can make these for any puppy (or any dog) who would love a yummy treat. WOOF!

Dog Biscuit Recipe (modified from Caser Millan’s original recipe)

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour (substitute regular flour or oats if your dog is sensitive to wheat)
  • 1/2 c. ground flaxseed
  • 1 tsp. salt (or less)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. Beef or chicken Bouillon granules (can substitute beef or chicken broth/stock)
  • ½ cup hot water

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Dissolve bouillon in hot water
  3. Add remaining ingredients
  4. Knead dough until it forms a ball (approximately 3 minutes)
  5. Roll dough until ½ inch thick
  6. Cut into slices or bone shapes (you can purchase a bone shaped cookie cutter to make shapes with)
  7. Place dough pieces on lightly greased cookie sheet
  8. Cook for 30 minutes

Maybe baking isn’t your thing?  No worries.  Check out the great selection of personalized pet gifts we sell at The Stationery Studio.  We just customized a personalized pet bowl for Charlie, the new puppy on the Today Show.  How cute is he with his new personalized bowl?

Personalized Puppy Love

27 Feb

feb-pet-001If you are like me, you can never love your dog enough. They are a true part of your family and your special little loves.  One of the cutest items I’ve seen lately for your fave dog has been “a true necessity” – actually a fashionista’s dream.  Well, doesn’t every dog need a genuine Italian leather poop bag holder which fits a standard roll of plastic waste bags?

Ok, well maybe it’s a little over the top.  But it is adorable and very unique!  There is an antique brass hook clip for attaching to dog leash or belt loop and the best part is that your puppy’s name will be blind embossed in the leather.  Of course, there is a matching Italian leather leash available in two sizes and a leather collar personalized with your pet’s name and/or phone number and available in 5 sizes.

So if you are looking for a fabulous dog gift, for your fave sophisticated furry friend, these leather poop bags and collars certainly make a thoughtful and impressive gift idea. And it’s fun to see your dog’s name personalized on their accessories.  From dog bowls to personalized collars, bandanas, notepads with their picture and more, we love pets and carry some wonderful personalized pet gifts.

What’s your dog’s name?  The most popular dog names for 2015 according to the American Kennel Club are Max, Charlie, Buddy and Cooper!  The American Kennel Club also just released the most popular dog breeds in the United States.  For the 25th consecutive year, the family-friendly Labrador Retriever is the most popular dog in America according to the AKC’s registration stats.  Next on the list include German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, Bulldogs, Beagles, French Bulldogs, Yorkshire Terriers, Poodles, Rottweilers and Boxers.

Well, there are simply so many joys in owning a pet, especially their their unconditional love.  Give yours a big hug today for me!

Best wishes,

Renee
