Refresh your Desk

Between the pandemic and winter, everything right about now seems kind-of blah as we look forward to spring.  With the holiday decorations put away, January is a great time to reorganize and freshen up spaces that could use a pick-me-up.

Since many of us are still working from home, this is the perfect time to refresh your desk (or working space) to help you love your space again.  We’ve put together a few ideas to inspire you.

Plants

Add some succulents to your desk.  The great thing about succulents is that they’re VERY low maintenance and don’t take up much space.  You can add one or a few (depending on your space).  They add a touch of the outdoors to your desk.

Pen Holder / Organizer

Yes – you can use any cup to store your pens, pencils, highlighters, etc.  But you can have fun with this and use something a little more interesting and functional.  You can use a colorful organizer to store your phone, your writing utensils and any other items you may use (a ruler, highlighters, etc.).  Add an organizer in your favorite color to make your work space happy.

If you space allows, add an interesting art piece either on your desk or on the wall.  Maybe it’s an inspirational quote to motivate you or a painting of somewhere you’d love to travel.

Calendars / Weekly Schedulers

A great way to add some organization to your desk are personalized weekly schedulers and notepads.  You can choose your favorite designs and personalize them for your space.  They help you plan out your week and jot down notes during meetings.  We love these two that were featured on the TODAY show.

What other ways would you refresh your desktop?  Share your ideas in the comments below!

Jennifer
