Kick Back and Relax with a Summer Cocktail

The long 4th of July weekend is finally here and I plan to kick back and relax. Are you doing any summer entertaining?

We have a family get-together planned this weekend and are looking forward to a few days away and doing not too much! But I did want to try a new summer cocktail. I’m not a big sweet drink person, but I love mint and since I’m growing it in my backyard, I’m going to clip a bunch of it and bring this great recipe with me so we can all try it!

june-mojitoThe Mojito Cocktail

This classic cocktail from Cuba is packed with fresh mint, lime juice, and rum and topped with club soda. Serve it in style in our Maestro Deluxe Highball Glassware.

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons white sugar
4 sprigs fresh mint
1 fluid ounce club soda
1 lime, halved
2 fluid ounces light rum
1 1/2 cups ice
2 fluid ounces club soda
1 sprig fresh mint

Directions:

Muddle sugar and mint with soda water in pint glass. Squeeze both halves of lime into the glass leaving one hull in the mixture. Add rum, stir, and fill with ice. Top with club soda.

Garnish with a mint sprig.

I find a lot of really delicious recipes and inspiration on AllRecipes.com and recommend you do too!

Happy 4th and be safe.

Best wishes,
Renee
