Aren’t there just some names that you hear which seem to be a bit, well, odd.  Chances are, they might just be some of the absolute hottest and most trendy names.  According to Nameberry.com, the following are the newest and the brightest names for this year ahead.  These are the names which garnered the most unique views in name searches over the past month.  Then they tracked which of those names had increased 50% or more in the same period last year.

Their result netted in a list of 50 baby names they deemed the hottest right now based on the increased current spike in searches.  The 50 hottest names of 2016, in order of popularity on Nameberry and including the percentage they jumped over last year, are:
