It's your specialty when you take our covered oval baker (13.5" long x 8" wide x 1.5" tall) to your next event. This 1 1/2 quart casserole is presentable in any setting from formal to casual. The lid is set deep so that it will survive a good tipping without falling out. This design feature will also keep the juices from spilling. The unglazed vitreous surface helps keep the lid in place when moving the piece. We fire the lid in place so that the casserole and the lid are a matched set for a good seal. This fine stoneware product is hand-painted and made to order. These are painted in special glaze formulas before the product is kiln fired thus the decorations melt into or "bond" within the clay. The finish is 100% permanent and completely dishwasher safe. All products are made from "scratch" and each piece is chip-resistant, oven safe (up to 450 degrees fahrenheit) and lead free. Made in America with the best materials available.
